Set an entire photo album as your Watch face

Most people know that Apple lets you set a photo as the background for your Watch face, but did you know you can set an entire album of photos – and that the Watch will then cycle through a new one each time you wake it?

Here’s the steps:

  1. Start by using the Photos app on your Mac or iOS device to create a new album of the photos you want the Watch to cycle through. On a Mac, switch to the main Photos listing, then select the photos you want and click the plus button, before clicking the Album option. On an iOS device, switch to the All Photos album and then tap Select, before selecting the photos and tapping Add To, and scrolling to the bottom where you’ll find the New Album entry.
  2. On the iPhone open the Watch app, then tap the Photos heading. Tap the Synced Album heading, and then select your new album. You can now close the Watch app.
  3. Wake the Watch so the watch face is visible, then force press to switch to customize mode. Swipe right until the Photo Album face appears, then tap to select and activate it.

From now on, you’ll see a different photo each time you wake the Watch. If you want to add more photos, just add them to the album you created. There’s no need to change any settings on the Watch or in the Watch app.
