Look up parts of words in the dictionary
26 February 2013, 09:00
You might be aware that you can right-click words when writing or viewing emails/webpages and select “Look Up” from the menu that appears. This will cause a pop-out window to appear showing a definition of the word.
What’s less obvious is that you can select part of a word, then do the same thing, and you’ll see only a definition for the part of the word you’ve selected.
Highlight just the word “high” in “highlight”, for example, then right-click and select “Look Up” and you’ll get a definition of “high”.
