14 February 2016, 06:30
Adobe today (14th February 2016) released version 3.5.1.209 of the Creative Cloud Desktop app for Mac. This version allegedly fixes the bug that wiped files from users’ hard disk.
DISCLAIMER: Here at Mac Kung Fu we haven’t installed the update to test it, and couldn’t test it in all usage situations whatever the case.
The release notes state:
Version 3.5.1.209 released on 2/14/2016Fixed an issue in the Creative Cloud for desktop app for Mac where in some scenarios the application may incorrectly remove files with user writeable permissions from the system root directory.
Remember to check when updating that you’re getting version 3.5.1.209.
As a rule of thumb:
- 3.5.0.206 released on 2/11/2016 = very bad
- 3.5.1.209 released on 2/14/2016 = good (probably).
